Reading, Maths, Spelling, Writing... Back to Basics to gain confidence in the skills needed for learning.

 

I will work one on one with your child in person in a public place or via Zoom, WeChat or Teams to help them catch up, or to broaden their skills so they learn to learn to the best of their ability. I'll do my best to make it fun so that they learn to love to learn.

 

Children starting school the following year will be considered if you'd like them to learn the alphabet and letter sounds and how to write their name.  Phonics was how we learnt when I was a child, and it's how I have always taught kids to read - we used to call it sounding out.

 

Reading to someone else for a short time each day, and being read to every day, makes a huge difference to a child's vocabulary and learning. Lots of parents don't have time. I have time and patience. We can just read if that's what you think your child needs.
